Testing One of the Latest, Greatest Innovations in Skincare Technology: The Vi Peel
Health, Style

Last week, I met with Dr. Peter Klainer, a board certified plastic surgeon with one primary goal: providing top-of-the-line patient care that produces stunning results.

Based in Sterling, Virginia, Dr. Klainer founded Chrysalis Plastic Surgery in 2000. He is the son of a doctor who specialized in infectious diseases and ultimately served in the military. Dr. Klainer graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Thereafter, he completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University, as well as a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery in Indianapolis.

I confess that, at first, I thought I'd come across a little known Northern Virginia secret, but I soon realized my error. Indeed, Dr. Klainer has been performing injections since 1997, and he was voted one of "America's Top Surgeons" by the Consumer's Research Council.

I enjoyed my very personalized consultation with Dr. Klainer, and after talking at length about my skincare wishlist, we decided that I'd benefit from a Vi Peel and from Dysport injections in my upper forehead. I've never had a Vi Peel, and given all the buzz about it, I'm excited to see and share the results!

So, what is a Vi Peel exactly?

It's a revolutionary facial peel founded by skincare specialist to the stars, Dr. A.F. Kalil. The Vi Peel blends powerful ingredients suitable for all skin types to create dramatic results with virtually no pain, no skin preparation, and very little downtime. And according to several sources, the Vi Peel can accomplish in one session what traditional laser treatments can accomplish in five sessions.

Not surprisingly, I'm intrigued. But I want details. For instance, how long will it take? And how long will the results last? Well, no worries because Dr. Klainer had those answers. He noted, "The Vi Peel will only take about ten minutes; it's surprisingly easy and painless. That's important to know because peels are generally thought to be quite painful, and the pain factor is certainly one of the many reasons the Vi Peel is such a stand-out."

As for results, I should expect the upper layer of my face to peel within three to five days, and my full results should be visible within a week. You can bet I'll be monitoring the progress of my Vi Peel. And I'll certainly share those results---complete with before and after photos---with the WUSA 9 web community.
