McLean Custom Home Builder Doubles Business in Worst Economy since Great Depression
Home & Garden, News

From John Joy:

Despite a stagnant national economy with high unemployment and depressed home values McLean based luxury custom home builder Joy Custom Design/Build is bucking the trend with five custom luxury homes currently under development and three more starting in the Spring.  In spite of the tough national economy the Washington region is doing comparably very well and that’s helped one McLean builder double his business in the worst economy since the Great Depression.

“In spite of the tough economy there is a segment of the population locally that is doing well.  Also the higher income transient population that’s moving to this area is doing so in droves as the low unemployment rate and proximity to the federal government attract major companies.  We just started construction on a $5 Million custom home in McLean for a client who moved from the West Coast because his company relocated,” John Joy, owner of Joy Custom Design/Build, explained.

“We’ve started on six custom homes in McLean and one in Washington, DC ranging in size from 4,000 to 12,000 square feet and priced up to $5 Million.  Our clients homes are located in neighborhoods such as Langley Forest, the Reserve and Spring Valley,” John Joy said.

Joy Custom Design/Build is a McLean Virginia based luxury custom home builder which builds an average of five homes per year ranging in size from 4,000 to 12,000 SF and priced up to $5 Million. Joy Custom Design/Build has built over 20 homes in McLean, Arlington and Washington DC since 2004.
