Carmello’s offers more than 100 Portuguese wines from Portuguese regions, such as Alentejo, Douro, Doa, Estremadura and Vinho Verde, and presents one of the largest Portuguese wine lists in the United States.

“We are always looking to ways to improve and enhance our wine selection,” said Alice Pires, owner of Carmello’s and Monza of Old Town Manassas, Va. “We’re honored to be selected by Wine Spectator Magazine,” said Pires.

Carmello’s of Old Town Manassas, Va. was recently featured as an Open Table diner’s choice award selected by Carmello’s diners making reservations through Open Table. For information, go to www.carmellos.com.

Open Table Diner’s choice winners are selected according to real feedback from diners who booked tables through Open Table. Diners then fill out surveys to rate their restaurant experience.

The menu includes: Educated Guess Chardonnay 2012, Spitada de Camarao with Jumbo Shrimp, Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing; Educated Guess Pinot Noir 2012 with Brick-Oven Roasted Rabbit Salad, Slow Cooked, White Wine, Onions, Fresh Herbs And Garlic; Educated Guess Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 and Hypothesis Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 served with Costélas Do Cordeiro, a Grilled Rack of Lamb, Fresh Mint, Garlic, Olive Oil, Potatoes Au Gratin, Asparagus and Madeira Demi-Glaze; and Sip Moscato 2013With Mixed Berry Shortcake, Whipped Cream, Strawberries, Blackberries and  Raspberries.

Carmello’s of Old Town Manassas, Va. is featuring a barbecue-style Father’s Day Brunch on Sun., June 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The brunch is $30 per person (not inclusive), while kids 12 years old and younger eat free. The brunch will include St. Louis ribs, corn-on-the-cob, macaroni and cheese, a variety of eggs, waffles, salads, meats, potatoes, pizza, biscuits, breads, fruits, desserts, as well as featured entrees. Monza is hosting a Devils Backbone Brewery Beer Dinner on Thurs., Apr. 30 at 6:30 p.m. for $70 inclusive, per person. The four-course dinner will feature Devils Backbone beers that complement new spring menu items. For reservations, go to eatmonza.com.

Monza is presenting a four-course dinner that includes: Vienna Lager with meat and cheese platter; Striped Bass Pale Ale with gourmet fish tacos, cabbage, jalapenos, scallions, avocado, pico de gallo, Sriracha aioli and a corn tortilla; Apricot Weiss served with  insalata del palmera with hearts of palm, roasted peppers, fresh basil, balsamic vinaigrette; wood-aged Kilt Flasher 2014, comes with Kilt Flasher drunken NY strip with sautéed peppers, onions, potatoes, and beer molasses steak sauce; and for dessert, Schwartz Beer is served with homemade chocolate mousse cake with layers of homemade chocolate cake and chocolate mousse.
