New Resource Available to Help Fairfax Families with School-Aged Children

Red Apple Advocate (RAA), Fairfax County’s newest blog, launched just two weeks ago. Judi Hershman, the founder of the blog, has been in the Northern Virginia area for about 35 years. Hershman decided that there was a need for a blog that would promote a positive way to get things done in the Fairfax Country School District. Hershman is this week's Super NoVA for creating an online resource that is "dedicated to the ideal of sharing authentic and helpful information about issues and opportunities surrounding the everyday lives of school-aged children and their families."

Local NoVA Band, Crash Boom Bang, Films Music Video in Adams Morgan

Crash Boom Bang, a locally-based band, worked on filming a music video with 8112 Studios this past weekend at the District Underground. Crash Boom Bang produces a blend of rock and pop, and this particular music video is one of their biggest efforts to put them in the national spotlight thus far. The members of Crash Boom Bang are this week's Super NoVA for their musical talents and their ambitions to make it big.

"Our goal with this video is to literally have it everywhere. If it doesn't get on MTV or VH1 then somebody has not done their job," said Director Nicholas Cambata.
