Photo Gallery | This Week's Super NoVA Shares (Easy) Recipe for Youthful, Flawless Skin

Sandra Oulmas, who grew up in France, always knew she was interested in the medical field as well as aesthetics. Now Oulmas is the Medical Esthetician and Medical Spa Director at Medi-Aesthetique. In this role she performs advanced aesthetic treatments such as chemical peels, laser treatments, clinical facials, and creates customized skincare regimens for patients. She is well known in the NoVA area as an “anti-aging expert” and treats a range of skin concerns from pigmentation to acne.

Sandra Oulmas utilizes the latest techniques and technology; her fusion of science and beauty produces visible results in her patients. Her expertise, generous contributions, involvement in the community, as well as her vast knowledge and willingness to share it with everyone makes her this week’s Super NoVA.

Oulmas regularly hosts charitable beauty events (such as the Beauty for Charity 'Makeover Happy Hour' to benefit tornado victims) and donates her services to breast cancer patients at the National Center for Plastic Surgery, where Medi-Aesthetique is located.

“She is most definitely an extraordinary talent, producing visible results for patients. Her knowledge is boundless and she graciously shares it with everyone. She makes it her goal to inform the masses on 'how-to's' and tips and tricks to affordable beauty secrets,” said Cathleen Niayz of Medi-Aesthetique.

“Sandra is definitely a recognized talent in the area,” Niayz added.

Oulmas is also a certified laser technician. She performs the last step in the breast reconstruction process and performs areola tattoos on breast cancer patients, who have completed their breast reconstruction with the surgeons at National Center for Plastic Surgery. This last step in the reconstruction process enables the patients to have a more normal breast appearance (see photo of Sandra performing the procedure in the slideshow).

"What I love most about my job is utilizing the aesthetic field's ever-changing technology to enhance every patient's beauty and skin health and addressing each individual's skin concerns. Healthy skin is beautiful skin and science is the best tool to achieve the optimal results,” said Oulmas.

Oulmas shares her skincare expertise with the Washington D.C. area in her column on Examiner.com, for which she was voted 'Best Columnist' by Northern Virginia Magazine. Sandra was also voted 'Best Facialist' and 'Best Laser Hair Removal' by I AM Modern Magazine

Oulmas has created a 'skin diet' that she will be releasing in future articles, but she has provided WUSA9 with a preview below.

“You must have a specialized skincare regimen that you adhere to daily. Achieving youthful, flawless skin is not a difficult recipe! All it takes is the right products, right treatments, consistency and dedication,” said Oulmas.
