Tranquility Day Spa Raffles $1300 Gift Card Package to Help Build Home for Zambian Orphans

Tranquility Day Spa and Salon of Haymarket, Va. is raffling off a $1300 gift card package to help raise funds to build a house for eight Zambian orphans. Tickets are being sold from now through July 30, 2011 and are $20 per ticket. The prize is a $1000 gift card to Tranquility Day Spa and Salon and a $300 gift card to Girasole or Panino, located in The Plains, Va., and Manassas, Va., respectively.  The raffle winner will be announced on Sat., July 30, when the spa will celebrate the building of the new orphanage and provide food, entertainment and prizes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 571-248-4150 or visit www.tranquilitydayspa.com.

The inspiration to build the Zambian orphan’s home was born from the family of late Molly Mizerak of Purcellville, Va., who succumbed to a three-month battle with brain cancer and passed away in June, 2011.  A champion of Every Orphan’s Hope projects, Molly and her husband had supported the ministry for years.  After her death, her family planned an August trip to Zambia to honor her and complete her dream of building a home for orphans. Her family and friends, including Tranquility Day & Spa, are on a mission to help keep Mizerak’s dream alive by helping to raise the $40,000 needed to build the home. So far, more than $16,000 has been raised.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the following locations: Tranquility Day Spa & Salon (15125 Washington Street, Ste 304, Haymarket, Va.), Girasole (4244 Loudoun Ave, The Plains, Va.), Panino (9116 Mathis Ave. Manassas, Va.) and The Life Church (10501 Balls Ford Road, Manassas, Va.).   You may also purchase tickets online by donating $20 directly to www.everyorphan.org and entering "TRANQUILITY" as the selected missionary. You will automatically be entered for the raffle drawing.

The Mizerak family will attend the Sat., July 30 celebration at Tranquility Day Spa and Salon to talk about Molly Mizerak’s plans to house eight orphans and a widow in Zambia. This is the first of many homes that will be built in Mizerak’s memory. For more information on Mizerak’s story, go to www.mamamiz.com.

Tranquility Day Spa & Salon is open Monday to Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to
8 p.m., and Friday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Attributed to Gloria Harding, co-owner and stylist, Tranquility Day Spa and Salon: We were blessed to know Molly Mizerak, who was a wonderful friend and mother.
