Man Wearing 'Elderly Man' Mask Robs Bank

MCLEAN, Va. (WUSA) -- A man wearing an "elderly white man" costume mask robbed a Wachovia Bank this morning, say Fairfax County Police.

Police say the man entered the Wachovia Bank at 1300 Chain Bridge Road around 9:13 a.m. and robbed two tellers.

The man displayed a gun, demanded money and fled with the cash.

Though the man was wearing the costume mask, he has been described as a black male in his mid to late 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 150 and 170 pounds. He was also wearing dark clothing.

Detectives say they believe the man may be connected to other robberies in the county.
